VISION
-
• PUBLIC SAFETY
The protection of people and property is our top responsibility to the community. We must be vigilant and prosecute criminals that threaten the peace and stability of our community. We must increase the presence of police officers in our neighborhoods and commercial areas, particularly on main streets and close to schools. A part of this coordinated response must be a robust effort to counter anti-Semitism in Beverly Hills -- we must increase the police presence outside synagogues.
As we integrate the Metro into the City, we need to address the law enforcement challenges with the police substations, and be more vigilant with heightened police presence, video cameras and technologies like drones.
-
• ECONOMIC SUSTAINABILITY
We must attract new businesses and economic development to bring revenue to our city.
In addition to some committees that we currently have in the Chamber of Commerce, we should develop new ones that are more specific in the different areas of expertise and strengthen entrepreneurship. Incentives for small businesses.
To show support for the State of Israel at this difficult time, we should create a pilot program aimed at increasing business partnerships between Beverly Hills and Israel. Like business that support technology since Israel is a leader in this area and integrate the technology advancements in our city and in the medical field.
-
• SUSTAINABLE ENVIRONMENTS
Develop projects with architecture that are sustainable, well designed and affordable. It must blend in with the different areas of the city.
Preserve our architectural heritage in buildings and residences that have architectural and historical value. At the same time, we must be open to new development that contributes to the betterment of the city and services contemporary needs.
-
• SMART CITY / TECHNOLOGY
We must improve the community technology, and incorporate the latest technological developments in the built environment. We must improve the city Wi-Fi network and other digital solutions. Also, we must encourage the installation of charging stations for electric cars in multifamily buildings, as electric vehicles will only become more prevalent throughout the city. The future is already here!
-
• MENTAL HEALTH
We must develop new mental health programs for children, adults and seniors.
This includes the development of programs related to arts in healthcare that improve the well-being of people and people with disabilities.
-
• CULTURAL DIPLOMACY
Our city must develop programs in cultural arts. We should build bridges with other communities and countries in cultural exchanges, art exhibitions, and in the entertainment industry, since Beverly Hills has a big history in this area that strength the culture of our city and foster arts education.
